Operation & Controls

The Original 12V gives you direct control and live operating feedback:

  • Real-time current-temperature display
  • Adjustable set temperature, with 230°C recommended by the manufacturer
  • Battery-voltage display for monitoring the connected power source

This model does not have built-in over-discharge protection. Monitor the voltage display and follow the battery manufacturer’s minimum-voltage guidance.

Battery and power guidance

Battery is not included.

  • Use a fully charged 12 V deep-cycle battery capable of supporting a 20 A draw.
  • Connect directly using the supplied battery clamps and 4 m cable.
  • Manufacturer estimate: a fully charged 80 Ah deep-cycle battery can treat approximately 300 hives using 2 g per treatment.
  • There is no built-in over-discharge protection. Monitor the voltage display and do not run the battery below its manufacturer’s recommended minimum.
  • Actual capacity varies with battery condition, ambient temperature and operating conditions.
