Operation & Controls

The LED remains visible in bright conditions and shows the unit’s current operating state:

  • Slow blinking: warming up
  • Steady light: ready for dosing
  • Fast blinking: vaporisation in progress
  • Double blink and pause: battery discharged

Dynamic temperature control manages the heating cycle automatically. The operating temperature is not user-adjustable.

Battery and power guidance

Battery and charger are not included.

  • Choose the battery-socket variant that exactly matches your battery platform. Each unit is built for one battery type.
  • Use a fully charged compatible 18–20 V battery. The Lite is designed to work well with lower-capacity batteries.
  • Manufacturer estimate at 20°C: approximately 0.5 Ah for warm-up, then 1.5 Ah for 10 treatments using 2 g per treatment.
  • A 2 Ah battery can typically complete 8–10 treatments including warm-up. Actual capacity varies with battery condition, ambient temperature and operating conditions.

If you treat a smaller number of hives, the InstantVap® Lite 18V gives you cordless oxalic acid vaporisation without buying more machine than you need. It is designed for hobby beekeepers and apiaries with up to 20 colonies, and works well with lower-capacity tool batteries.
